Painting, Age 3. In Series.

At this age we see children exploring various techniques through series of paintings. These techniques include making marks, using gestural movements, mixing colors, creating layers of color, centering their composition in the middle of the page, using the entire page as a composition, creating blocks of color, using every primary and secondary color but never letting the colors touch, creating organic shapes like swirls and arches, creating basic shapes like circles, and creating basic human or animal forms with circles and crosses.
